McLou started with celebrations, but somewhere along the way, it became about something bigger: the joy of making.

Hi, I'm the person behind McLou — a small independent creative business based in the United Kingdom.

I love turning an idea into something you can actually hold. A piece of artwork becoming a decoration. A blank sheet becoming a notepad. A simple piece of material becoming something colourful, useful or just lovely to have around.

And that's what you'll find here.

What I Make

McLou is home to stationery, decorations, gifts and other creative pieces designed and made in small batches.

You might find a notepad for your desk, stickers that make your planner a little more fun, a decoration for Halloween, a coaster for your home, or something special for a birthday.

Some pieces are practical. Some are decorative. Some are made for celebrating.

They all have one thing in common: they're things I genuinely enjoy creating.

Many McLou products begin right here in my little creative space, where ideas are printed, cut, assembled and finished by hand. Some designs may also incorporate carefully selected licensed or AI-assisted artwork, which I develop and transform into finished McLou products.

Because this is a small creative business, the collection will evolve. I'm always experimenting with new ideas, materials and ways of making things — and when something turns out too good not to share, you might just find it here.

I don't think everything we buy needs a grand purpose.

Sometimes a colourful notepad makes sitting down to work a little nicer. Sometimes a ridiculous sticker makes you laugh. Sometimes decorating the house for Halloween is reason enough to make an ordinary Tuesday feel different.
